Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide project management support to spacecraft specific programs from concept through proposal, contract execution, and finally through end of operational lifetime. The incumbent will support proposal generation for both spacecraft payload and complex communications networks during pre-sales phase and will ensure customer and operational support requirement are met during the construction phase. During the operations phase, he/she will be responsible for the successful achievement of all program requirements within cost, schedule and technical constraints as well as customer communications and customer satisfaction.

Position Description:

Responsible for the delivery of quality passive microwave devices for the Payload Products Business Unit. Typical products include Omux, Imux, filters, combiners, splitters, ferrites and miscellaneous radio frequency (RF) hardware with an emphasis on coaxial and waveguide switch experience and knowledge. Collaborate with other technical staff for requirements definition and validation, review of technical data and anomaly resolution including root cause and corrective action. Focus on the elimination of defects and waste and reducing cycle time. Excellent communication skills are required in dealing with suppliers, integrated product team leaders and internal and external customers. Knowledge of passive microwave device requirements, measurement techniques, RF data performance, Statement of Work documents, product specs and data item description documents required. Antenna and/or electromagnetics background as it relates to satellite payload hardware requirements necessary.

IT Systems Engineer

Position Summary

The IT Systems Engineer works closely with his/her peers in the IT Services Data Center team evaluating COTS/Solutions & Architectures and in providing resolutions. He/she will be assigned technical roles in ongoing projects undertaken by IT Operations and Engineering while still actively participating in the day-to-day operations of the Data Center and providing 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis. As part of this role, IT Support Services are provided to various data center systems and servers, creating documented processes/procedures for use by the Helpdesk and Level2 teams. This position also acts as an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk.

Critical Responsibilities:

1. Provide monitoring of company servers and services

2. Perform regular health checks of the systems and escalate any resulting issues appropriately

3. Research and resolve issues in a timely manner in accordance with standards

4. Troubleshoot server issues

5. Administer Unix/Linux systems

6. Configure and administer VMWare sessions

Position Summary

This position performs a variety of complex administration duties in support of HR. Performs duties of a confidential nature that require knowledge of the division's policies, practices, and procedures. 1. Position Summary

This position applies system level communications engineering expertise to provide pre-sales and post-sales technical consultancy to existing and prospective customers, and the sales organization, which help drive revenues and ensure customer satisfaction. A Customer Solutions Engineer helps identify customer needs then designs technical and operational solutions adapted to these needs and customer perceived risks. The CSE supports technical relationships with the customer for the life cycle of the service including supporting operations and the customer during times of technical/operational difficulties.

Location: Darmstadt, Germany Position: Contract Rate: € 440 per day Tasks The consultant will be providing full time support to the Maintenance and Engineering activities of the client Data Centre and will be integrated within the Data Access Team. The duties range from the support to the operation of the UNIX-based archive and retrieval system (U-MARF), to the analysis, design, development testing and maintenance of software functions of software maintained/ developed within the Data Access Team. This includes the setting-up and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures, the support to the procurement of software, and the co-ordination with external providers of maintenance services. In particular the tasks will include: • Design, implementation and testing of software corrections and improvements. This may require the analysis of user requirements, the specification, procurement and installation of software and the generation and maintenance of technical documentation. • Configuration management, release preparation and deployment of software corrections; • Support the delivery of software externally developed, its installation, configuration and testing. • Support the implementation of data formatting issues for new data sets (NetCDF, HDF5 and others), new ingestion front ends, specific cataloguing and retrieval functions. • Investigation into anomalies, their documentation and classification.
