L-3 Stratis has a challenging opportunity for an experienced Space Vehicle Electrical Power Systems (EPS) Hardware Engineer to work with electrical power systems for human space flight vehicles. We are part of a team supporting EPS analysis and systems engineering activities including ongoing International Space Station (ISS) engineering activities at NASA / Johnson Space Center. The individual will support NASA ISS EPS subsystem engineers.

Specifically, the electrical power subsystem engineer will support hardware development for EPS equipment on ISS.

Job Responsibilities include: • Production of build-to-print flight hardware. • Electrical design of power supplies. • Procurement of flight hardware assembly parts. • Drawing changes. • Scheduling and tracking of hardware through fabrication process. • Writing test procedures. • Scheduling and supervising testing. • Certification of flight hardware. • Dispositioning of discrepancy reports (troubleshooting and problem resolution).

This work takes place in a highly stimulating and dynamic environment that is critical in the human space exploration initiative.

This position requires a self-motivated, capable person wanting to work in a very team-oriented, friendly, but demanding environment. The ideal individual should also have strong verbal and written communication skills. Team members must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program.

Requirements

Minimum required:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. B.S/M.S. in Electrical Engineering with electrical power emphasis + 3-5 years experience in power systems. Must have strong technical and analytic skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision. Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills and work ethic. Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills.

Desired:

Background in NASA space vehicle EPS systems. Familiar with the development, production, and certification processes of NASA flight hardware.
