Job Description
Work with NASA programs to recommend and screen EEE parts for use in space radiation environments, characterize the radiation parts testing as it applies to space environments, and develop design guidelines as appropriate. Work independently on specific tasks, but also to contribute to group efforts and to understand the relationship between their results and the overall, system-scale engineering requirements.
Requirements
Required Skills:
BS degree (MS preferred) in Physics, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering or a related discipline and 4-6 years relevant experience. Detailed knowledge of radiation effects and EEE parts is required.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with flight project support is desired. Knowledge of radiation environments and transport codes preferred. Knowledge of parts testing in radiation environments is highly desired. Knowledge of programming languages such as Fortran, C, IDL, etc. is helpful.
